Welcome to the District Conference Web site. Information for the 2003 Conference to be held May 1-4, 2003 in Hagerstown, MD will be available here. Chuck Thornton, chair of the conference committee announced that registration packages will be available on the Internet.

The Friday evening event will be held at the Washington County Museum. We will actually be in the halls of the music with piano music and "Michael T" doing roving magic. Following a brief formal program, "Michael T" will be doing a performance of the "Magic of Rotary."

Conrad
was born and raised in Los Angeles, graduating from Stanford University with
a degree in chemical engineering. From 1962 to 1984 he served as President
of Exeter Oil Company, Ltd., a drilling and production company whose stock
was listed in 1981 on the American Stock Exchange. He is now a private investor.
In 1991, during his year as President of the Rotary Club of South Pasadena, he served as the Team Leader leading the Group Study Exchange team from District 5300.
District Governor of District 5300 in 1993-94, he has served since then as District Chairman of the Group Study Exchange, Friendship Exchange, Budget and Finance, Foundation Matching Grant and Rotary Foundation Committees. He and his wife, Pat, are both multiple Paul Harris Fellows and Benefactors. Conrad was D-5300's delegate to the Councils on Legislation in 1998 and 2001.
Beyond the district, he has served Rotary as Vice Chairman of the Findings Committee at the 1997 Rotary International Institute, Chairman of the Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee (1999-2000), editor of The Directory of Rotary Leaders in Zones 23 & 24 (1999-2001) and has also served as the speaker and personal representative for Rotary International Presidents to the district conferences of other districts. He has been awarded the "Citation for Meritorious Service" by The Rotary Foundation.
Conrad and Pat have five grown children who live in Hawaii, California, Minnesota and Germany, giving them special reasons to travel. Conrad's interests include church activities, tennis, classical music and travel.
